Where is the Ranch ?
The Ranch is located at 10199 Mortensen RD, Lincoln Arkansas 72744. It is off of county road 836. To get to the Ranch, take "HWY 62" to Lincoln, turn onto "Wedington Blacktop/CR33", follow about 2miles to the dirt road on Left, "CR835", then go left on "CR836", follow it around make a left on the next dirt road. There will be a sign that says "Privet road 5002" The ranch entrance is about 1/4 mile on the left.
What kind of children does Choctaw Youth Ranch serve?
Choctaw Youth Ranch serves all children between the ages of 5 and 18 (depending on disability). Being a kid in this day and age is tough enough. Roughly 80% of our kids are considered disadvantaged. To CYR, the word "disadvantaged" takes on many shapes and forms: mental, physical, emotional, and functional. The remaining 20% of kids we work with are simply kids who don't have access to horses through any other means. It has been our experience that as "healthy" kids play and grow beside "broken" kids, they are both encouraged to have a greater appreciation and understanding of others. It also brings hope to the spirit of wonded kids to believe they too can have hope for the future.
How can i get my child involved
Currently, the Ranch provides instruction to children who are referred to the Ranch by local schools, pastors, community members and parents. If you know of a child who might benefit from hope and love offered at the Ranch, please contact us.
